Long ago in 1956 the success story of the Pension Sonnleiten began. In 1958 the first guests were entertained at Sonnleiten. Grandma Moidl was an excellent cook and she was the heart and sole of the house until an old age. The Sonnleiten was one of the first guest houses which offered, in addition to breakfast, half- and even full-board. As early as 1964, Sonnleiten was expanded for the first time.
In 1977 the business was handed over from Georg and Maria Stock to their daughter Brigitte Geisler. 1978 was a very important year for the Sonnleiten. It was for the most part demolished and rebuilt in between Easter and Christmas. The rooms were at that time already furnished with a separate toilet and bathroom. The rooms were continuously renewed and renovated until the end of the 80’s.
